Masculine Notebook

I started a new project - 100 days of crafts.

During a private notebook class, I designed a masculine notebook.
What do you think?

New layout: Birthday

I wonder...
Is the counterfeit kit good for me?
On one hand - I like the fact that I use my stash, I love to see the variety of layouts / cards / tags using the same materials and techniques.
On the other hand - it makes it difficult to choose a picture. Colors are pre-selected, so not every picture can fit...
Anyway - this layout is inspired by Stuck sketch from November 15
The picture was taken on Yaara's birthday party with her friends from school. We did a "scrap party" - each girl created her own notebook for the summer vacation...
I think they had a good time.. I hope..

Thanks for stopping by...

New layout: How to spell Tooth Fairy?

This week was pretty incredible...
On Sunday morning I went to the hospital and came back on Tuesday, with our new baby girl :-)
I haven't done anything crafty this week (who has the time?) but I want to share a layout I created the week before - and didn't have the chance to post about...
Anyway - This, again, was done with my April counterfeit kit, and it's telling a story about me playing with Mor with letter cards. I asked her how to spell words, and she wrote it. Shirt, Glasses, Earrings, etc.. For each word she wrote - she pointed on the item that was described.. I took a picture after each letter, and knew I will create something to show the progress...
The first 3 pictures are showing her writing Fairy - and she pointed on her tooth that fell (probably few days earlier).
The lower picture shows the words "Mommy & Mor" and she does heart shape with her hands :-)
I knitted crochet heart & tooth for this layout and I'm proud of them! They make me smile.
Another interesting thing I did here was to color the Hebrew letters using my glimmer mists / inks, to match the splatter :-)

Other layouts with the kit:

Passover 2011 layout

Hmmm....
After I chose the papers to my first counterfeit kit I created this layout, thinking about the 5th challenge of the new Israeli blog - 'Yotzot'. Where do you get your inspiration from...? I think I get inspired mostly from my everyday life... Sometimes I find myself taking pictures and thinking of the layout / papers / concept of  using these pictures to document our life in a way we would love to remember...
Anyway - this picture was taken on Passover eve 2011. The "famous song" Ma Nishtana? (what has changed) - I have a lot of things to say about it... It brings up many memories, not so good... Since I was the youngest child (and the youngest has to sing it - ask the questions) - I remember being stressed weeks before, trying to think how can I avoid it, trying to convince my brother to sing a long with me... Always thought I don't want to "make this show".
Now, as a mother, with 2 girls that LOVE to perform (every Friday eve they sing and dance to my parents) - I don't think they suffer from it, but I try to understand each and every time if they do it because they "must" or because they want to...

About the layout: I messed-up the title a little, didn't calculate the required space... oops
I added the butterflies - matching the same position on the papers - as a symbol for freedom (one of Passover's names).
I sewed (using my Sew Easy) the papers to each other - to add texture and interest to the page...

I appreciate your comments!

New layout: Ladybug -

The Hebrew message will be followed by an English one.

Yaara surprised me: she's afraid of dogs / cats / insects, etc... Few months ago, when we were on our way back from "Jumpoline" (the trampoline in our neighborhood), she picked up this ladybug and was so happy that it tickles her... I was happy to see her happy :-)

Recipe swap: Tu Bishvat (part 1) -

I participated in another recipes swap, this time the main focus was on dried fruits that is being eaten on Tu Bishvat - New year of the trees...

The first page I created is for "Chicken on rice & dried fruits". I used washi tape and tried to make the nature pops.... The blue strip is the sky, the yellow - sun, the greens - trees & grass and the browns - the land & ground... The butterflies were also punches out from a paper covered with red washi tape. I left a mat for a picture of the chicken that will be made by this recipe - kind of an interactive page...

Close-up on the butterflies & background stripes:

This is the back (and the recipe) on the page. Again, tried to combine nature. I used bamboo pattered paper and punched 2 more butterflies to create a connection between the 2 sides of the page.

I would love to read your comments :-)

Stamps: EK Success Image Tree clear stamps, Marmelada Hebrew letters
Ink: Ink It Up!, StazOn

I used: DCWV cardstocks + chipboards, transparencies, Sharpie, Zutter Bind It All, Cuttlebug + nestabilities, felt, Ink It Up!, EK Success stickers & clear stamps, Stazon jet black, funny foam, ribbon, Hero Arts Timy Dot Circle stamp, Fiskars border punch.
