New Layout: My Cup of Tea

I saw this cool idea in one of the morning tv shows (yes, yes, maternity leave is a good excuse for seeing these shows LOL) and decided I should give it a try... I took my favorite mug and took the picture :-)

New layout: Corn

Following my kite post, I was challenged by Zehavit  to create more layouts... She prepared a sketch for me, and challenged me to avoid black. Any kind of black - matting / inking / journaling....

I challenged myself to use the counterfeit kit I started with, to create the kite layout & the "nice to meet" layout...

Anyway - this is the sketch:

New layout: Grandpa in love - דף מעוצב חדש: סבא מאוהב

אני לא יודעת לתאר במילים כמה אבא שלי אוהב את יערה ומור. בכל הזדמנות, עם כל אחד, הוא תמיד מתמוגג ומספר עליהן. תמיד עם כל כך הרבה אהבה. אפילו אהבה עיוורת אפשר לקרוא לזה... לא משנה מה הן יעשו או יגידו - הוא יחשוב שזה הכי מדהים בעולם...

עד לפני כשנתיים הוא היה מבקר אותנו פעם בשבוע, משחק איתן, מקריא להן סיפורים וסתם "סופג" - לראות אותן, לשמוע מקרוב, להרגיש...

קראתי לדף הזה סבא מאוהב ונראה לי שהכותרת קולעת...

שמתי לב שיש עוד כמה דפים שהכנתי עם החולצה שיערה לובשת. למשל זה וגם זה, אחרי שיערה כנראה גדלה, והחולצה עברה למור :-)

I can't express in words how much my father loves my daughters. Ever since Yaara was born he talks about her (and 2 years later, about Mor as well) every chance he has, with EVERYONE! 

They meet at least once a week. Till 2 years ago, he came to visit us every week, reading stories (can be seen in this layout), play with them (can be seen here) - and just see them, hear them, feel them...

I chose the title: Grandpa In Love, I think it description is correct...

I noticed that I have more layouts in which Yaara & Mor are wearing the same red shirt (that Yaara is wearing in this pic): here and here.

New layout: Aphrodite - דף מעוצב חדש: אפרודיטה

פעם בתקופה (אולי חודש?) מתפרסם אתגר סקיצה באתר של Crafting Jewish Style. לקחתי תמונות מפורים בשנה שעברה - הפעם של יערה, שלא תגיד "למה רק למור..?"

אחרי שבחרתי את הדפים שהכי יתאימו לתמונות התחלתי לחפש קישוטונים מתאימים ומצאתי את הפרח של Bella Blvd ואת סרט התחרה הצהוב (שהסיכוי שלי להשתמש בו מאד נמוך, אבל כאן הוא התאים).

השלב הבא > קצת טקסטורה בעזרת מכונת התפירה: מסגרת ותפרים שונים בכל מיני מקומות.. קצת התחרבש לי (המכונה קצת נתקעה), אבל חוסר השלמות זה חלק מהקסם (נניח :-)).

נראה לי ממש מתאים להוסיף חותמת של מצלמה (להלן: צלמוניה :-)) וכיתוב של Just Today (שממש הולם את המשפט הידוע: לא כל יום פורים)... לא בכל יום יערה אפרודיטה (בעיקר אם לא מחשיבים את זה שהיא חיה בלה-לה-לנד ומדמיינת כל יום דברים חדשים... הקסם שבילדות... :-))

זהו. זה הסיפור של הדף... אוהבות?

Our current challenge at Crafting Jewish Style was to create a layout based on a given sketch.

I took last years pictures of Yaara (so she won't be jealous of the layout I did with Mor's pictures) and started to build the layout...

After choosing the papers I looked for embellishments with matching colors and founds the flower, by Bella Blvd, and the lace trim (that I rarely use). My next step was to add texture with my sewing machine - border + different stitches to add interest... It didn't went as smooth as I expected (the machine got stuck a little), so it's not perfect - but it's part of the beauty... LOL

I thought that adding a stamp of a camera and a sentiment of "Just Today" is very "Purim", since only once a year she gets to be something else (if we exclude all the "make believe" games :-))...

Anyway - this was the story of this layout.... Do you like it?

New layout: Snail - דף מעוצב חדש: השבלול

אחת ממתנות יום ההולדת של אורן היתה עציץ פורח שהונח על גבי אופניים דקורטיביים. כמה ימים אחרי שהמתנה קישטה את הסלון - גילינו על הרצפה קונכיה. לקחנו אותה ושמנו על צלחת חד פעמית והתחלנו לטפטף לאט לאט... השבלול התחיל לצאת ולטייל על הצלחת. הבנות התרגשו ושמחו :-) אחרי שהסתכלנו, חקרנו והתלהבנו, ירדנו לגינה ושחררנו אותו על עלה, בתקווה שיהיו לו חיים טובים.

הדף עוצב בהשראת סקיצה חמודה - אחרי תקופה של יובש > אני מתכוונת לעשות ולהספיק יותר, זה עושה לי טוב!

מה דעתכן?

Oren got a plant for his birthday and few days later we found a snail shell on the floor. we picked it up, put it on a plate and dropped water on it... the snail came out and the girls were happy. When we finished looking and exploring, we took it down and put it on a leaf in the garden, hoping it will have a happy life :-)

The layout was inspired by sketch #130 @ Unscripted Sketches.

New card: Greetings - כרטיס חדש: ברכות

After a few weeks that I missed Tuesday Trio's challenges - I'm presenting my current card. The challenge for sketch #86 was to use both sides of double sided paper as well as use the digital stamp by Crafty Sentiments Designs. I took a MLS paper: one side is the main background and the matting (of the paper and the scalloped circle) is from the other side. I don't think I'm good in coloring, but I gave it a try...

אחרי כמה שבועות שפספסתי את האתגרים של שלוש בשלישי - אני שמחה להצטרף לאתגר הנוכחי, זה אומר שהלחץ קצת ירד (קצת, אבל אני לא מתלוננת :-)). האתגר של סקיצה 86 היה להשתמש בשני הצדדים של דף דו-צדדי, וכמו כן להשתמש בחותמת דיגיטלית של Crafty Sentiments Designs. השתמשתי בדף של "קופסת הנעליים הקטנה שלי" (מעניין אם האמריקאים גם חושבים שהשם קצת הזוי, כמוני...): צד אחד עבור הרקע והצד השני נוצל עבור מאטינג לרקע ולעיגול המסולסל. אני לא חושבת שאני מי-יודע-מה בצביעה, אבל אין שום רע בנסיונות...

New layout: Tu Bishvat girls - דף מעוצב חדש: ילדות ט"ו בשבט

I'm usually not 100% satisfied with the layouts I create - I often think I should add something, ink more, or on the other hand - I did something that is too much... When I came up with the idea for this layout I was pretty excited and I hoped it would be as pretty as I imagined... The inspiration came from sketch #62 @ Tuesday Trio, the challenge was: brown. I chose the pictures, from Tu Bishvat - the new year of the trees, and the concept of brown (as the ground) and green (for trees & flowers) began to grow in my mind... I used washi tape as the ground, tone on tone - brown on brown.... The treetop is made from inked circles in 3 sizes. The trunk is cut by hand.

בד"כ אני לא שלמה במיליון אחוזים עם היצירות שלי - לפעמים אני מרגישה שחסר לי משהו, לפעמים אני תוהה אם הוספתי משהו יותר מדי, אבל כשחשבתי על הרעיון לדף המעוצב הזה כל כך התלהבתי וקיויתי שאצליח להכין אותו כמו בדמיון... ההשראה הגיעה מסקיצה 62 של שלוש בשלישי, האתגר הנוסף היה גווני חום. בחרתי תמונות מט"ו בשבט והרעיון של האתגר - חום, בשילוב עם ירוק התאים לי לתמונות ט"ו בשבט. הרעיון התחיל להתפתח. יצרתי את האדמה ממסקינג טייפ צבעוני - חום על חום. את הצמרת יצרתי מעיגולים ב-3 גדלים שונים, מלוכלכים בדיו בקצוות והגזע חתוך ביד...

כאן אפשר למצוא עוד יצירות מהעבר שקשורות לט"ו בשבט: ספר שמן מתכוני ט"ו בשבט 1 ו-2, ודפים מעוצבים 1 ו-2.

New card: Green-White swap - כרטיס חדש: החלפת ירוק-לבן

I created this card for a swap of green-white cards. I wanted to "break" the green, so I added the mushroom and stamped the snail on matching paper. I feel there's something missing, or maybe I the green has stopped working for me (or i have stopped working for it... LOL). I recently created another green card which I didn't like... I hope the one the will get it in the swap will like it better than me...

The card also participate in following challenges: Stamp Insanity - Green, Paper Play - Shades of green.

הכנתי את הכרטיס הזה עבור החלפת כרטיסים בירוק-לבן. רציתי לשבור את הירוק, אז הוספתי את הפטריה והחתמתי שבלול על נייר תואם. איכשהו משהו חסר לי בכרטיס, או אולי הירוק ואני הפסקנו להסתדר. לאחרונה יצרתי עוד כרטיס ירוק שגם לא ממש אהבתי. בשניהם גם יש את מוטיבים השבלולים והפטריות - אולי זו הבעיה? הם דווקא חמודים... אתמול קיבלתי עדכון מחתולי8, ליאור, שקיבלה את הכרטיס ונהנתה ממנו - אבל זה לא חוכמה - יש לה חיבה מיוחדת לשבלולים לאחרונה :-)

New card: Happy Birthday (Snail) - כרטיס חדש: יום הולדת שמח (שבלול)

This card is based on a technique I learned on PACS (Paper And Co Show) on November. I could figured it out by myself - but I learnt it there... LOL

Anyway - when you pull the tab at the right - the snail moves and the greeting in being exposed Happy Birthday.... I don't like the color combination of the papers I chose, but it's a fun card after all...

New layout: Welcome to Alaska + Blog Hop - דף מעוצב חדש: ברוכים הבאים לאלסקה + בלוג הופ

This layout was inspired by Tuesday Trio sketch #52. The challenge was to add glitter, in a meaningful way. I rarely use glitter. I don't have much glitter (besides few stacks that has glitter effect). It was definitely a challenge for me. I started to go over my stash and found some glitter letters I received from Erin Yamabe on one of her workshops at PACS this winter. I looked for matching products and created this colorful opening page for my SIL's family to Alaska... I'm pretty sure that the rest of the Alaska's pages will look very differently. I may re-do this page one day (and may not - too lazy)...

הדף הוכן עבור סקיצה מס' 52 של שלוש בשלישי. האתגר הנוסף היה נצנצים. לאחרונה מאתגרים אותי הרבה (ע"ע וינטאג'). מעניין... מכיוון שאין לי יותר מדי חומרי נצנצים התחלתי לעבור על מה שיש ומצאתי אותיות מנצנצות. אחריהן מצאתי עוד שלל מוצרים צבעוניים (להחריד), והחלטתי ליצור מהם את דף הפתיחה לחלק האלבום של גיסתי שמסכם את שהייתם בארה"ב - הטיול לאלסקה... אני מאמינה ששאר הדפים של אלסקה יעוצבו בסגנון שונה לגמרי. אולי אפשר להגדיר אותם בתור: יותר אני...

This card was inspired by sketch #47 @ Tuesday Trio. The challenge was : New Year.

I created a layout based on this sketch but I hated it and started all over - and tried to create a card. I love it. Already wrote a greeting to my husband, wishing us a great year!

New layout: Olive Harvest

This layout was inspired by sketch #44 @ Tuesday Trio. The extra challenge was "circles". The pictures were taken about 2 years ago. The kindergarten's management arranged a picnic for the kids' families. There were few activities, but the big attraction was to harvest olives.

The inspiration for the layout came from Isabelle Gallien's layouts - she taught some classes at PACS and her work is very inspiring!
