New layout: How to spell Tooth Fairy?

This week was pretty incredible...
On Sunday morning I went to the hospital and came back on Tuesday, with our new baby girl :-)
I haven't done anything crafty this week (who has the time?) but I want to share a layout I created the week before - and didn't have the chance to post about...
Anyway - This, again, was done with my April counterfeit kit, and it's telling a story about me playing with Mor with letter cards. I asked her how to spell words, and she wrote it. Shirt, Glasses, Earrings, etc.. For each word she wrote - she pointed on the item that was described.. I took a picture after each letter, and knew I will create something to show the progress...
The first 3 pictures are showing her writing Fairy - and she pointed on her tooth that fell (probably few days earlier).
The lower picture shows the words "Mommy & Mor" and she does heart shape with her hands :-)
I knitted crochet heart & tooth for this layout and I'm proud of them! They make me smile.
Another interesting thing I did here was to color the Hebrew letters using my glimmer mists / inks, to match the splatter :-)

My 1st Rag Rug

Today i finished to crochet my first "rag rug"... It's made of tricot threads. The diameter is ~1m and it's for my girls room. As you can see - they love it (which is the best reward ever!).

Tomorrow, after the apartment will be clean - we'll get rid of their current rug and put the new one :-)

I'm excited!

New Layout & Blog Hop

On January 3rd I saw a post on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, challenging the followers to create a layout and be a part of the first blog hop of the year.
The challenge was to create a project using the following ONLY (not including cardstock / pictures / adhesives):
3 patterned papers
3 embellishments
& 3-word title

Here's my take of the challenge:

I feel I repeat myself when I say it again and again but it's a great feeling to utilize the papers I chose - it's the 7th layout using the same papers - and there are still some scraps. Unbelievable!

New layout: Ready, Set, Go!

Another private sketch challenge, by Zehavit (like the Corn layout). This time, the extra challenge was not to use washi tape.
The truth is that this sketch was real challenge for me. After cutting the pictures I tried to twist it, turn it, try to do something, and then I quit. It didn't feel right...
I thought maybe I should create a card.... But that didn't work too...
So I waited a few days and then started to build this layout - and I'm surprisingly happy with the result :-)

Another use of my counterfeit kit (same for: Nice To Meet, Kite, Corn, Twist Car) - this time I used my I-Top, which I haven't used for a long time, in order to create the big brad - it reminded me of the flair post they had over there...

אחרי שהייתי באיטליה, ב-PACS האחרון (פברואר 2012), התחלתי לשוטט בבלוגים של המדריכות (שיותר עניינו אותי). אהבתי הרבה דברים בבלוג של מאנו. את שני הכרטיסים שהכנתי יצרתי בהשראת הכרטיסים שבפוסט הזה. נכון שהם מקסימים??

אני אוהבת את השילובים שלה: דפים עם תפירה, קרושה, תפרים שונים ובכלל - הסגנון נהדר! תודה על ההשראה!

הכרטיסים האלה ילכו למורה של יערה - שאני ממש מקווה שתמשיך איתם גם לשנה הבאה, ולסייעת בגן של מור (לגננת, האלופה - באמת אין דברים כאלה - הכנתי מתנה וכרטיס, שאעלה בפוסט אחר).

אז... מה דעתכן?

After PACS Italy (February 2012) I wanted to see the teachers' blogs. I saw many things I loved in Manuella Massei's blog. These 2 cards are inspired by the cards in this post. Aren't they gorgeous? 

I love her style, combining sewing & paper, crochet, many stitches... Thanks for the inspiration!

I will give these cards in few days to Yaara's teacher & Mor's kindergarten assistant (for Mor's kindergarten teacher, who's leaving the school this year, to manage another kindergarten will be a different post).

New layout: Our little girl - דף מעוצב חדש: ילדה שלנו קטנה

אני מאד אוהבת את הדף הזה.. נראה לי שאני בתקופה עיגולים (גם הדף פרפרונת מורכב מהרבה עיגולים).

חלק מהעיגולים בשיטת אפליקציה הפוכה, חלק בולטים מעל הדף, חלק חותמות, חלק כפתורים, פרח קרושה ושאר קישוטים עגולים... 

התמונה צולמה באוקטובר 2005... יערה יפהפיה, נכון? :-)

I love this layout. I feel I'm in a "circle phase" (the butterfly layout included many circles as well) :-) Some of the circles here are made in "reverse applique" technique and some are popped up... Some buttons, stamps, crochet flower... By the way - the picture was taken on October 2005 - Yaara is beautiful, isn't she? :-)

New scarf - צעיף חדש

לפני כמה ימים השתתפתי בסדנה במסגרת קומונה "מקום קטן ליצירה". אורנה (אור1210) לימדה אותנו לסרוג צעיפים, כל אחת לפי בחירתה.

סרגתי 2 צעיפים קטנים ליערה ומור מ"צמר במבה" ורדרד - הבנות לקחו (לבשו? ענדו? "שמו"?) בימים חמישי ושישי לבית הספר ולגן וקצרו מחמאות.

צעיף אחר שלמדתי הוא הצעיף הזה, מ"צמר שרוך". יפה ומרשים ובכלל לא קשה!

אתמול נסענו לטייל באיזור מצפה רמון ואת מה שלא סיימתי בסדנה, סיימתי בדרך...

יש עוד אחד בשלבי הכנה ראשוניים... כנראה שאמשיך אותו כשאראה טלויזיה פה ושם (לא רואה יותר מדי טלויזיה).

מה דעתכן? אני מאד מרוצה!

New layout: My turn, your turn - דף מעוצב חדש: פעם אני ופעם את

Taking these pictures was a little training in photography - where the focus is... My girls love to play in this thing - one of them listen, while the other speaks and then they change roles.... Most of the time they plan what to do next, and it usually involves with a lot of laughs... I used papers of my new stack, and was inspired by sketch #107 @ Twisted Sketches.

התמונות בדף הזה היו תירגול בשבילי בצילום - איפה הפוקוס. הכותרת נולדה מהקונספט הזה. יערה ומור מאד אוהבת לשחק בצינורות האלה - פעם להקשיב ופעם לדבר. הרבה פעמים הן מתכננות את המשך המשחק בגן השעשועים, לפעמים הן מספרות בדיחות אחת לשניה. השתמשתי בדפים מתוך "עולם כחול ירוק" תוך שימוש בסקיצה 107 של Twisted Sketches.

This card was inspired by sketch #68 @ Tuesday Trio. The challenge was New Beginnings... I created a "Good Luck" card and I hope it'll bring lots of luck! I'm pretty proud with the result. What do you say? Do you like the papers used?

Crochet Jellyfish - מדוזה סרוגה

Here's my crochet jellyfish - I know her eyes look weird, but she looks better in real life - I guess not all of us are photogenic, right? :-) I saw this post on Dafi's blog and I had to try... I have to get better, making the next one shorter and wider. I think she's cute for first try... I hope to take better pictures next time... LOL

סרגתי מדוזה. נכון - העיניים שלה עקומות ומוזרות, אבל במציאות היא נראית טוב יותר... לא כולם פוטוגנים - היא בטוח לא :-) אחרי שראיתי את הפוסט הזה בבלוג של דפי החלטתי שאני חייבת לנסות... אני מקווה להפיק לקחים לפעם הבאה: לסרוג אותה קצת יותר רחבה ויותר נמוכה. בשביל נסיון ראשון זה לא רע... יש סיכוי לא רע שאני גם אצלם את הבאה קצת יותר טוב חחחח

New mini album: Baby Girl (Oren) - מיני אלבום חדש: תינוקת (אורן)

Another version of this mini album (here's the first and second mini albums that were already published). I created most of it during a craft night with friends. I have a friend, Gal, who gave birth to baby girl, named Oren (that's right, like my husband's name :-)) in January. I haven't met here since her 8th month's pregnancy. I plan to meet her some day soon (hopefully!). Since I'm almost sure she is not visiting my blog I can publish the post...

גירסה נוספת של מיני האלבום הזה (הנה הדוגמאות הראשונה והשניה שכבר פורסמו בבלוג). יצרתי את רובו בערב יצירה עם חברות... יש לי חברה, גל, שילדה בינואר בת בכורה, בשם אורן (כן, כן, כמו בעלי :-)). לא פגשתי אותה מאז שהיתה בחודש שמיני ואני מתכננת לפגוש אותה (סוף סוף) בקרוב. מכיוון שהסיכוי שהיא תיכנס לבלוג הוא אפסי - אני מרשה לעצמי לפרסם עוד לפני שנתתי לה...

This card is inspired on sketch #64 @ Tuesday Trio - the challenge was to use a handmade embellishment. I created this crochet flower and thought it may fit perfectly to this card. Don't know why but lately I make a lot of baby cards and albums.

הכרטיס מבוסס על סקיצה מס' 64 של שלוש בשלישי - האתגר היה להשתמש בקישוט שהכתי לבד. אחרי שסרגתי את פרח הקרושה הזה רציתי לשלב אותו בכרטיס עדין ו"נקי". לאחרונה אני מכינה הרבה כרטיסים ומיני אלבומים שקשורים בתינוקות - לא יודעת למה... ככה יוצא :-)

My first Amigurumi: Owl

This Friday (January 8th), we're going to my grandmother's grave - she passed away a year ago and I miss her so much. I thought about her a lot in this past year but recently I think about her more often. She used to knit sweaters, baby shoes & hats and she used to crochet. I have some very strong memories of her with knitting needles in her hands - always doing something, many years ago it was for us - her grandchildren and the last 6 years or so for her great-grandchildren.
Anyway, I was in a amigurumi basic workshop. I wasn't very successful there but I kept trying and this is my first finished project. It's slightly crooked but it's mine :-)
