2 Years - Birthday

Another layout inspired by sketch - same as these 2 layouts: (Ready, Set, Go! & Corn). The extra challenge this time was Birthday...
I immediately started to look for birthday pictures, and found few.
This picture was taken on July 2008 - Mor was having her 2nd birthday at the kindergarten.
This layout was made (again) using the counterfeit kit - and I'm so pleased I persist using the kit and trying to maximize the scraps. Other layouts: Nice To Meet, Kite, Twist Car - and the 2 above (Ready, Set, Go! & Corn)).

New card: You're the best - כרטיס חדש לגננת הכי בעולם

את הכרטיס הזה הכנתי לרוית, הגננת של מור.

החותמת על הלוח אומרת "you're the best" ובאמת - אין כמו רוית! הגננת הכי טובה בעולם! אחת הגננות אם לא ה...

יערה גם זכתה ללמוד איתה בגן חובה וידענו שנילחם כדי שגם מור תהנה מהזכות הזו. למזלנו ושמחתנו הספיק רק לבקש אותה (ולהדגיש עם כמה קוים ומארקר) - ומור שובצה לגן.

רוית - שיהיה בהצלחה בגן החדש, הילדים שתלמדי הרוויחו בגדול!

I created this card for Mor's kindergarten teacher. The bulletin board says: you're the best, and Ravit is THE BEST! Yaara also enjoyed a year with her, and learned a lot and we knew we would fight to have Mor in her kindergarten. Lucky for us - all we had to do is request, but this was a great year. I wish her all the best for next years to come. I know she will bring her quality to every place she goes.

New layout: Just Us - דף מעוצב חדש: פשוט אנחנו

יש סיכוי ששמתן לב, אבל אגיד את זה בכל זאת: אני אוהבת סקיצות!

כשראיתי את הסקיצה הזאת בבלוג של בלה החלטתי לתת לזה צ'אנס וליצור דף.

חשבתי שיהיה "יותר עדיף" (או אולי סתם נחמד) להשתמש גם במוצרים של בלה ובמקרה (הכינותי מראש) יש לי קיטים שהגיעו לאחרונה (היו אמורים להיות אצלי לפני 4 חודשים, אבל מי סופר - נהייתי קוטרית מהעניין הזה :-)) ועוד כמה דפים  (או חלקי דפים) שקיבלנו בסדנאות עצמן, כפיצוי על הקיטים שנתקעו במכס...

הוספתי כמה צ'יפבורדים ומדבקות, אותיות בעברית (2 פונטים כמובן), תפרים במכונת תפירה - וזהו....

דעתכן?

I love sketches. I saw this sketch @ Bella Blvd blog and decided to create another layout. I thought it would be best to use Bella's products. Lucky for me I have 2 kits I got now (4 months after PACS), an I have the paper pieces we got at the workshop, as compensation for the kits that were stuck in customs... Few chipboard stickers, cut outs, Hebrew letters & stitching and the layout is complete.

What do you think?

New layout: Bed Time Story - דף מעוצב חדש: סיפור לפני השינה

וואוו כמה זמן לא כתבתי. מרגיש כמו נצח.

האמת היא שלאחרונה קצת התעייפתי. לא יודעת למה, לא יודעת עד מתי. הרצון נשאר, הביצוע פחות. גם אם אני יוצרת (קורה פחות) - אני פחות מצלמת, ובטח שפחות עורכת את התמונות ומעלה לבלוג.

חבל לי, חסר לי, מקווה למצוא את האנרגיה להמשיך - אבל זה המצב.

ולעניינינו (אחרי פתיחה דרמטית משהו) - לפני שבועיים (?) השתתפתי בסדנת קומונה אצל קרנושי, בהדרכת אילנה... הרעיון של הסדנא היה "לכלוך" (ככה אני קוראת לזה) - שימוש בצבע, בגלימר ובשאר אלמנטים פחות נקיים מהשימוש הרגיל שלי.... זה לא שאף פעם לא התנסיתי בסגנון הזה, אבל אני נהנית לנצל כאלה הזדמנויות - ככה זה מגדיר לי זמן שבו אני "מתלכלכת", ויותר קל להמשיך באיזור הנוחות שלי... טוב, קשקשתי מספיק....

בדף הזה, עם צבע אקריל לבן, טשטשתי את דף הרקע (שמציץ פה ושם, בעיקר בצדדים), והשתמשתי בשאריות נייר (לפי הצבעים של התמונה שבחרתי). אפילו המדבקות של המילים נחשבות אצלי ליציאה מאיזור הנוחות... אני לא מרבה להשתמש במדבקות, ובטח שלא באנגלית (פיתחתי סוג של סנוביזם לשפה - מעדיפה עברית עברית עברית!)

עברתי עם האצבע על שולי התמונה עם צבע אקרילי ורוד, הוספתי כותרת בעברית (חותמות), ופרחים - קרנושי, תודה על הנדיבות והשיתוף :-)

Long time...

About 2 weeks ago I joined a workshop for layouts I don't usually do... Acrylic paints, glimmer mist, etc. It's not that I've never used these materials - it's just "out of my comfort zone".

Anyway - this layout was fun to make and I enjoy its difference from my "normal style"...

רציתי לשתף את קוראי הבלוג של "היהודים" (Crafting Jewish Style) בטיפ, שנשאלתי לאחרונה מספר פעמים: על מנת למנוע מצב בו הסרט נפרם, יש לשרוף את הקצוות מעט.

על מנת להשתתף באתגר של יום מס' 270 באתר 365 כרטיסים (ליצור שכבות של סרטים לפחות ב-3 מקומות שונים בכרטיס) צירפתי 2 סוגי סרטים בכרטיס... מה אתן אומרות?

I wanted to share with Crafting Jewish Style blog readers a useful tip that I've been asked recently a few times: Slightly burn the edge of your ribbon, in order to prevent it from split open.

I layered 2 ribbons, and used this combination 3 times in order to fit challenge of day 270: Layer ribbon at least 3 different places on your card.

New card: lovin from the oven - כרטיס חדש

את הכרטיס הבא יצרתי בהשראת האתגר של יום 268 באתר 365 כרטיסים: להשתמש בתמונה של אוכל וכיתוב שמתאים למאכל / משקה שבחרנו.

השתמשתי בחיתוך מהכרטיס הזה כבסיס לקישוט המרכזי, החתמתי קאפקייק (בשכבות) ואת הכיתב. שתי החותמות מסט חותמות של יוניטי.

בעיניי זה פשוט וחמוד. מה דעתכן?

This card was inspired by the challenge of Day 268 @ 365 Cards: Fun with Food: use image of food / beverage and add a sentiment that incorporates with the food.

I took the scrap from this card, as the base of my embellishment, stamped a cupcake on top and a sentiment - both stamps by Unity "Mix Up of Cuteness" - they are cute, aren't they?

New card: Umbrella - כרטיס חדש: מטריה

שלחתי את הכרטיסים האלה לתחרות חורף שפירסמה נחמה שור באתר "סודות מחדר התפירה". הקו המוביל בתחרות היה שימוש במוטיב המטריה שהוצג באתר. הכנתי מטריה בשיטת פייפר-פיסינג - חתיכות שמרכיבות את התמונה השלמה, בתוספת תחרה מלמטה, הכל מוגבה מעל בסיס הכרטיס וידית המטריה... הוספתי ברכה לחורף נעים וחם.

מאחלת לכולנו חורף גשום, בעיקר מעל הכנרת, אבל גם בשאר הארץ - גשמי ברכה!

אשמח אם תצביעו לי > מטריה מספר 14 > ההצבעה בטופס אלקטרוני מתחת למטריות... תודה :-)

I sent these cards to a winter contest, published at a sewing club website. The only guideline in the contest was to use the umbrella motif that was attached... I made a paper-piecing umbrella, with lace bottom and brown handle... I added warm winter greeting: wishing you warm winter comforts. Happy winter everyone - I wish us all a lot of rain (mostly above the Sea of Galilee - but all over the country the rain is blessed :-))

New layout: On Top - דף מעוצב חדש: חלומות מתוקים

Recently I saw a lot of layouts and cards designed with this "wavy" pattern and I thought I should try it too :-). I took some pictures of Yaara and trimmed them to fit the page's width. I like the result!

לאחרונה ראיתי די הרבה עיצובי דפים וכרטיסים עם הזיג-זג הזה וחשבתי לנסות גם... לקחתי תמונות של יערה והתאמתי אותן לרוחב הדף. השתמשתי בקולקציית חלומות מתוקים.

New card: Owlways in my heart - כרטיס חדש: תמיד בליבי

This card is inspired by Scrap.co.il's 2nd challenge: Scrap for Love... It's a 1-2-3 challenge: use 1 ribbon, 2 hearts, 3 blings / pearls... I made this card on Thursday night - I hosted a crop for few friends and the evening was very fun, full of laughs (and good food).

הכרטיס הוכן עבור האתגר השני של אתר הסקראפ הישראלי: סקראפ לאהבה. הפעם האתגר היה 1-2-3: להשתמש בסרט אחד, שני לבבות ושלושה בלינגים / פנינים... הכנתי את הכרטיס ביום חמישי בערב - אירחתי כמה חברות לערב יצירה מהנה ביותר, צחקנו, אכלנו ואפילו יצרנו קצת :-) (ושוב תודה בנות!! :-))

Recipe swap: Tu Bishvat (part 2) - החלפת מתכונים: ט"ו בשבט (חלק 2)

This is the second page I created for the recipes swap for Tu Bishvat - New year of the trees... This time I copied a recipe of butter & nuts cookies. I used a tree stamp and covered it with tiny beautiful flowers I recently bought. I love the result of this blooming tree!

זה הדף השני שהכנתי להחלפת מתכונים בנושא ט"ו בשבט. העתקתי מתכון של עוגיות חמאה ואגוזים. החתמתי עץ וכיסיתי אותו בפרחים שקניתי לאחרונה. הפרחים מוסיפים צבעוניות ונפח לדף ואני מאד אוהבת את התוצאה!

Since the back side of the page looks already full, I felt that there's no need to overload it. So I added a frame with the swap details and a bird...

הצד האחורי של הדף (במקור חשבתי להשתמש בדף הזה בתור הצד הקדמי) - הרגשתי שלא צריך להוסיף יותר מדי ובעצתה של ליאור (תודה חתולי :-)) הוספתי מסגרת ובה פרטי ההחלפה וציפור - שלא יהיה לציפור במסגרת משעמם...

Recipe swap: Tu Bishvat (part 1) - החלפת מתכונים: ט"ו בשבט (חלק 1)

I participated in another recipes swap, this time the main focus was on dried fruits that is being eaten on Tu Bishvat - New year of the trees...

השתתפתי בהחלפת מתכונים לכבוד ט"ו בשבט. המתכונים אמורים היו להתבסס על פירות יבשים למיניהם, בהתאם להעדפות של השותפה להחלפה...

The first page I created is for "Chicken on rice & dried fruits". I used washi tape and tried to make the nature pops.... The blue strip is the sky, the yellow - sun, the greens - trees & grass and the browns - the land & ground... The butterflies were also punches out from a paper covered with red washi tape. I left a mat for a picture of the chicken that will be made by this recipe - kind of an interactive page...

בדף הראשון שיצרתי השתמשתי בסרטי-נייר צבעוניים וניסיתי ליצור בעזרתם רקע של טבע. הפס הכחול מדמה את השמיים, הצהוב - את השמש, הירוקים למיניהם - עצים, דשא וכו' והחומים - את האדמה... גם הפרפרים קורצו מדף שעליו הדבקתי סרטי נייר אדומים. אני מקווה ששותפתי להחלפה (היי ציקוש :-)) תשתף פעולה ותוסיף תמונה של האורז שהכינה (אם היא תנסה את המתכון)...

This is the back (and the recipe) on the page. Again, tried to combine nature. I used bamboo pattered paper and punched 2 more butterflies to create a connection between the 2 sides of the page.

בצד האחורי כתבתי את המתכון עצמו וגם כאן ניסיתי לשלב משהו טבעי. השתמשתי בדף עם הדפס של במבוק והוספתי 2 פרפרים, כמו בצד הקדמי, כדי ליצור איזה שהוא קשר בין שני צידי הדף:

New card: Inspire - כרטיס חדש

This card was inspired by sketch #49 @ Tuesday Trio. I rotated the sketch clockwise. Few days ago I created with my daughters minimalistic cards - a little washi tape (torn by hand), stamp and that's it... I used the same technique (if you can call it a technique) to create this card. Anyway the other day, Mor - my little girl (4 1/2 years) asked me to spell some words and eventually she gave me a card wishing me to be healthy and feel well... (I forgot to mention that I'm sick for few days now... :-)) Anyway - she made me happy!

הכרטיס עוצב עפ"י סקיצה מס' 49 של שלוש בשלישי, בסיבוב של 90 מעלות ימינה... הבנות שלי מאד אוהבות ליצור איתי ולהשתמש בחומרים שלי: חותמות, דיו ועוד ועוד... כל עוד אני משתמשת בזה - גם הן רוצות, החומרים של הילדים כבר קטנים עליהן :-) בכל אופן - הכנתי איתן כרטיסים מינימליסטיים: מסקינג טייפ צבעוני, חותמת שתבלוט מעל וזהו - הכרטיס מוכן. הפעם השתמשתי באותו רעיון, אבל הוספתי עוד כמה פרטים כמו העיגול בפינה, התיפורים הידניים (שהיה חלק מהאתגר) והסרט הצהוב...

מכיוון שאני חולה כבר כמה ימים - מור, הקטנה שלי (בת 4 וחצי), שאלה אותי: "אמא, איך כותבים....?" אייתתי לה את המילים שהיא ביקשה ובסוף קיבלתי כרטיס ברכה: "אמא, אני מאחלת לך שתהיי בריאה" - אין דברים כאלה!! מאוהבת בה :-)

As a Guest Designer for Stamp by Step I created another layout - this time with different theme of papers . I edited 2 pictures, turning them to black & white, leaving the balloon - the main focus of the layout - in its original color.

It's a little funny and strange changing the usual method of work. I usually pick the pictures and then match coordinating cardstocks & papers. This time I had the papers and I had to choose the pictures that coordinates and create some kind of harmony.

PACS 2010 - Team challenge - Chunky Book

When we prepared our team challenge for PACS, we suggested to create a chunky book - in order to have a special memory from the team challenge. Everyone should have made 5 chunky pages, so all team members will have one from each.

Chunky Book - Keren

Keren celebrated her birthday in a scrappy way. It's the first scrappy-birthday I have invited to, but I couldn't participate. The birthday was on Wednesday evening, and few hours later I had a flight to Paris, for the PACS scrapbooking convention.

Anyway, as part of the scrappy birthday - all the participants were supposed to create a chunky page. This is the page I made:

The front - spin wheel with cupcakes images

The back (it was planned to be the front, but I didn't notice the direction - Hebrew is opened from right to left and this is left opening, so it had to be the back): paper piecing cupcakes, some are 3D:

It was very fun to make - I used many techniques and I just hope she liked it!
