New mini album: Yaara at the gymboree - מיני אלבום חדש: יערה בג'ימבורי

Few days ago I saw a waterfall mechanism and I thought I should make a mini album using this technique. Take a look - Yaara is 1 year old, visiting the gymboree...

New mini album: France 2011 - מיני אלבום חדש: צרפת 2011

I wanted to give Sigal & Erez a special gift for Passover. A few days ago they returned from a vacation in France and sent us pictures. I printed the pictures and created this mini album. I used the Travel stack by DCWV, some flowers and the albums is ready. They told me it's beautiful **I'm blushing**. I created another version of this album - you can see it here.

לכבוד פסח רציתי להכין לסיגל וארז מתנה. כמה ימים לפני החג הם חזרו מחופשה בצרפת ושלחו לנו תמונות. הדפסתי את התמונות ויצרתי מהן מיני אלבום. השתמשתי בחבילת דפים בנושא טיולים / נסיעות, קישטתי בפרחים והאלבום היה מוכן. שמחתי לשמוע שהם אהבו אותו והסמקתי :-) הכנתי עוד גירסה של אלבומון כזה - אפשר לראות כאן.

New project: 3D Frame "Bloom" - פרוייקט חדש: מסגרת תלת מימדית "פריחה"

I created this frame (measures 5.5 inches) after I found this tutorial. I decided to combine my wish to create the frame with participating in scrap.co.il's 7th challenge (include paper with flowers and handmade flowers). In the challenge's details there's a link to flower tutorials - when I saw the quilling flower I decided to use this technique. It's been about 7 years since I last did it and it was an opportunity to teach my girls. They enjoyed it and created some flowers & butterflies. I think it's cute, still don't know what to do with it though...

יצרתי את המסגרת הזאת (גודלה 14 ס"מ) אחרי שראיתי את ההדרכה הזאת. החלטתי לשלב בין הרצון ליצור את המסגרת התלת מימדית עם השתתפות באתגר השביעי של אתר סקראפ (לשלב בפרוייקט דף פרחוני עם פרח(ים) בעבודת יד). באתגר היה לינק להדרכות של פרחים שונים - וכשראיתי את פרח הקווילינג החלטתי שאעבוד עם הטכניקה הזאת. עברו בערך 7 שנים מאז שעשיתי את זה בפעם האחרונה וחשבתי שזו הזדמנות נהדרת ללמד את יערה ומור. הן נהנו מאד ויצרו פרחים ופרפרים. יצא חמוד בעיני, וכמובן שעדיין אין לי שום רעיון מה לעשות עם זה :-)

New mini album: Baby Girl - מיני אלבום חדש: תינוקת

It's been a while since I last participated in Scrap.co.il's challenge. This challenge (#6) was to add hiding places (like pockets) in our project. I created a mini album, this time with purple papers, much more gilry than this one. When you first open it - you discover the "main hiding place" - 4 flips that are combined together and hide a place for a picture... Then you can open it once more and discover more room for pictures (and another pocket)... I like it. In this mini I also used papers from Nursery baby boy stack by DCWV - so versatile!

עבר קצת זמן מאז השתתפתי לאחרונה באתגרים של אתר הסקראפ הישראלי. אתגר מס' 6, לכבוד פסח, היה ליצור עבודה סקראפית עם מקומות מסתור. יצרתי מיני אלבום, הפעם עם דפים סגולים, "של בנות" - בהשוואה למיני הזה. כשפותחים את המיני בפעם הראשונה מגלים את מקום המסתור העיקרי - 4 "כנפיים" שמשתלבות זו בזו ומחביאות תמונה. אפשר לפתוח את המיני שוב ולגלות עוד מקום לתמונות - ועוד כיס. יצא נחמד בעיני. גם במיני הזה השתמשתי בחבילת הדפים של התינוקות של DCWV - אוהבת שבחבילה קטנה אחת יש כל כך הרבה מגוון!

Since the challenge was all about hiding places - I had to display it closed and open, so here are the pictures:

New card: Bon Voyage - כרטיס חדש: נסיעה טובה

This card was inspired by sketch #63 @ Tuesday Trio. The extra challenge was: birds. My mother is traveling in China these days, and I gave her this card before her flight. I enjoyed (as usual) using the Sew Easy tool, and used brads, as suggested in their stitching guide - I still love the texture and effect of the thread. Lately I don't use as many stamps as I used before, so I thought this was a great opportunity for paper piecing with the birds stamps.

הכרטיס מתבסס על סקיצה מספר 63 של שלוש בשלישי. האתגר היה ציפורים. אמא שלי נמצאת בימים אלה בטיול בסין ולפני הטיסה שלה נתתי לה את הכרטיס הזה. כרגיל, אני נהנית להשתמש במכשיר שמנקב חורים בדוגמאות שונות - הפעם הוספתי סיכות מתפצלות, כמו שאפשר לראות בהצעות שלהם - אני אוהבת את הטקסטורה והאפקט של החוטים. בנוסף, לאחרונה אני כבר לא משתמשת בחותמות בתדירות גבוהה כמו בעבר, אז חשבתי שזו הזדמנות נהדרת להשתמש בחותמות הציפורים בשביל פייפר פיסינג - paper piecing.
