Craft with kids: Recycled butterflies - יצירה עם ילדים: פרפרים ממוחזרים

My girls LOVE to create (and if it's with me it's even better)... Yesterday I remembered a cute project I saw that combines craft & recycling. These days - recycling is "hot", kids at kindergarten start to learn what recycle means, they bring plastic bottles to a special corner and once in a while one of the parents take the bottles to recycling station as an educational act.... Yaara & Mor knows the recycle symbol since they are 3 years old (young)... So, anyway, we took some toilet paper rolls, wrapped them with patterned papers, punched little flowers and decorated the wings. We added a face and took pictures (which is not less important!). When I took the pictures I noticed that each of them chose a color of the shirt / dress they wore... Coincidence? :-)

הבנות שלי מאד אוהבות יצירה (ומעדיפות כשזה איתי... ומעדיפות יותר כשזה מחומרים וכלים שלי)... אתמול נזכרתי בפרוייקט חמוד שראיתי שמשלב יצירה ומיחזור. בימים אלה - המיחזור הוא נושא "חם", ילדים מתחילים ללמוד על נושא המיחזור בגן. הם אוספים בקבוקי פלסטיק ופעם בתקופה אחד ההורים הולך לנקודת מיחזור ומקבל את כספי הפיקדון (וקונים ציוד נוסף לגן). יערה ומור מכירות את סמל המיחזור כבר כמה שנים... בכל אופן, לקחנו גלילי נייר טואלט, עטפנו אותם בניירות מתוך הסטאק "חלומות מתוקים", קרצנו פרחים בעזרת פאנץ' חביב וקישטנו בעזרת הפרחים את הכנפיים. חלק לא פחות חשוב ביצירה הוא הצילום. רק בשלב הצילום שמתי לב שכל אחת מהן בחרה את הנייר באותו צבע של החולצה / שמלה שלבשה... צירוף מקרים? :-)

Last Saturday we went to celebrate my SIL's 50's birthday in a surprise party. My other SIL bought a shared birthday present from all of us and I had to create the greeting card. Since the present(s) had a lot of red I thought the card should fit the concept. The card is based on Tami's card. I used one of my stacks (the only one that has sort of red in it). I think it's a very impressive card (especially for those who are not familiar with the scrap world.... LOL).

בשבת שעברה חגגנו לגיסתי יום הולדת 50 במסיבת הפתעה. גיסתי האחרת קנתה מתנה משותפת מכולנו ועלי הוטל תפקיד הכנת כרטיס הברכה (כמובן). מכיוון שהמתנה היתה מורכבת מפריטים בצבע אדום הבנתי שזה גם יהיה כיוון הכרטיס. את הכרטיס הכנתי לפי הכרטיס של תמי. השתמשתי בקיט "ילדת האגדות" (היחיד שיש בו סוג של אדום מכל הדפים החדשים שלי). אני חושבת שהכרטיס מאד מרשים (בייחוד לאנשים שלא מעולם הסקראפ :-)).

New layout: Gematria - דף מעוצב חדש: גימטריה

Another layout I created using my paper packs. It is based on this digital template - love the layout & design! This time I used the cover of Sweet Dreams paper pack to create strips, which I cut in different angles and adhered as frame. The story of the picture: Yaara learned Gematria at school (till 10), so she practiced on me... I was able to figure out the first word (which means dad) and then she explained the other word "arrive" (at this moment I told her to freeze and took a picture). She meant to ask "When will daddy arrive?"...

דף מעוצב נוסף שיצרתי עם הדפים שעיצבתי. הדף מבוסס על תבנית דיגיטלית מכאן - מאד אהבתי את הפריסה והעיצוב. הפעם השתמשתי בכריכה של חבילת "חלומות מתוקים": חתכתי רצועות ואז גזרתי בזוויות שונות והדבקתי כמסגרת.

הסיפור מאחורי התמונה, כמו שנכתב בדף: יערה למדה בבית הספר גימטריה עד 10. אחרי שהצלחתי להבין שכתבה "אבא" היא הסבירה שהמילה השניה היא "יגיע" (בשלב הזה אמרתי לה לעצור הכל ולהישאר בפוזיציה הזאת, שלפתי את המצלמה וצילמתי :-)). בעצם היא התכוונה לשאול: מתי אבא יגיע?... מכיוון שהם למדו רק עד 10, היא לא ידעה לתרגם את הע' ל-70, אז כתבה את האות :-)

New little make-up bags (sewing): תיקי איפור קטנים חדשים (תפירה)

I sewed! For some unexplained reason, I'm afraid of sewing! I have a sewing machine and I hardly use it. It's like I want to sew but I don't have the courage to do it.... Do you have any tips for me?

Anyway - I went to a friend (Thank you Zehavit), who taught me to sew these cute little make-up bags - I'm proud! So proud that I ordered some fabric today - I hope it arrives before my muse will be lost....

תפרתי! משום מה, אין לי מושג למה, אני פוחדת מתפירה. יש לי רתיעה לא מוסברת. מכונה - יש, אבל היא בקושי בשימוש... אני רוצה לתפור אבל חסר לי האומץ (עוד לא הבנתי למה אני צריכה אומץ כי במקרה הכי גרוע ייהרס לי הבד)... למישהי יש טיפ בשבילי? איך מתגברים?

בכל אופן, נסעתי לזהבית (תודה!), שלימדה אותי לתפור את תיקי האיפור החמודים האלה - אני ממש גאה! גאה עד כדי כך שמיד הזמנתי לי בדים חדשים, ואני מאד מקווה שהמוזה לא תיעלם עד שהם יגיעו.....

New layout: Library Tote - דף מעוצב חדש: תיק ספר

This is another layout I created using the cardstocks I designed. This stack calls Sweet Dreams. I sewed a library tote for Mor, while she was in kindergarten with her ugly supermarket tote. I just felt that she MUST have a lovely bag... The layout was inspired by one of my favorites scrappers, Laura Vegas.

דף מעוצב נוסף שעיצבתי תוך כדי שימוש באחת מחבילות הדפים שעיצבתי. לחבילה קוראים: חלומות מתוקים. תפרתי למור תיק ספר באחד מימי השישי שהיא היתה בגן והלכה עם תיק ירוק ומכוער של הסופרמרקט. החלטתי שהבת שלי לא תלך עם תיק כזה ועשיתי מעשה :-). את הדף עיצבתי בהשראתה של אחת מהסקראפריות המועדפות עלי: לורה וגאס.
