This Thank You card is based on 2 challenges:

1. 4 Crafty Chicks - Challenge #33

2. The Outlawz - CAS April 10th (Recipe challenge: at least 2 punches - I have 7 circles, The color blue, One sheet of plain cardstock).

I like it - looks elegant to me... What do you think?

New layout: Sailing in Alaska - דף מעוצב חדש: שיט באלסקה

This layout was inspired by sketch #101 @ Unscripted Sketches. The pictures were taken by my SIL and Omer, her daughter, is in the picture. They rented a boat in a town called Whittier (Alaska), hiked 9 miles and saw high waterfalls and much more... I hope to speed up with this album and finish it soon (I guess 'soon' is relative - they came back to Israel almost 2 years ago!!). Anyway - I used the Sew Easy tool, I think I'm addicted!

הדף הבא עוצב בהשראת סקיצה מספר 101 באתר Unscripted Sketches. התמונות צולמו ע"י גיסתי, וביתה - עמר - מופיעה בתמונה. במהלך הטיול באלסקה הם שכרו סירה לשיט בין קרחונים וטיילו במסלול של 9 מיילים לראות מפלים גבוהים. הם עשו כל כך הרבה בטיול הזה ואני מקווה שהחוויות יציפו כשהם סוף סוף יקבלו את האלבום הזה, ביום מן הימים. אני ממש רוצה להתקדם איתו ולסיים בקרוב. כבר אוטוטו עוברות שנתיים מאז שחזרו לארץ - אני צריכה לעבוד על זה יותר ברצינות...

גם הפעם השתמשתי במכשיר שמחורר חורים ואחריו אפשר לעבור בקלות עם מחט ולרקום - התמכרתי לתוצאה. השתמשתי באותיות של קסם שימושי, וכשראיתי שאין לי ט' החלטתי לאלתר ויצרתי אותה מהאות ף'. לא יצא נורא :-)

New layout: Card game - דף מעוצב חדש: משחק רביעיות

This layout was inspired on sketch #96 @ Twisted Sketches. The twist was card. I used 4 cards :-) I admit I had some thoughts how to interpret the card, but eventually I chose to create a layout about a card game (making sets of 4 cards from the same series - does this game have a name??). I wasn't sure if I should ink the squares' edges and decided not to - still not sure if it was a right decision. I stitched circles - love this effect (don't like the fact that the inner circle at the bottom is not accurate)...

הדף מבוסס על סקיצה מס' 96 באתר Twisted Sketches. האתגר היה: כרטיס / קלף, או באנגלית card. היו לי התלבטויות איך לפרש את האתגר הזה. כרטיס ברכה, כרטיס כניסה לאנשהו... בסוף, בעודי מפשפשת בערימת תמונות, החלטתי לקחת את זה לכיוון של משחק רביעיות שלי עם הבנות... (מישהו יודע אם יש שם מקביל למשחק "רביעיות" באנגלית?)

עוד התלבטות שהיתה לי נגעה בצידי הריבועים - האם ללכלך את הקצוות בדיו או לא. החלטתי שלא, אבל עד עכשיו לא בטוחה שזו היתה החלטה נכונה. רקמתי עיגולים - אני מאד אוהבת את אפקט הריקמה והטקסטורה של החוטים (פחות אוהבת את העובדה שהעיגול הפנימי התחתון יצא קצת לא מדויק - בלשון המעטה).

New layout: Tu Bishvat girls - דף מעוצב חדש: ילדות ט"ו בשבט

I'm usually not 100% satisfied with the layouts I create - I often think I should add something, ink more, or on the other hand - I did something that is too much... When I came up with the idea for this layout I was pretty excited and I hoped it would be as pretty as I imagined... The inspiration came from sketch #62 @ Tuesday Trio, the challenge was: brown. I chose the pictures, from Tu Bishvat - the new year of the trees, and the concept of brown (as the ground) and green (for trees & flowers) began to grow in my mind... I used washi tape as the ground, tone on tone - brown on brown.... The treetop is made from inked circles in 3 sizes. The trunk is cut by hand.

בד"כ אני לא שלמה במיליון אחוזים עם היצירות שלי - לפעמים אני מרגישה שחסר לי משהו, לפעמים אני תוהה אם הוספתי משהו יותר מדי, אבל כשחשבתי על הרעיון לדף המעוצב הזה כל כך התלהבתי וקיויתי שאצליח להכין אותו כמו בדמיון... ההשראה הגיעה מסקיצה 62 של שלוש בשלישי, האתגר הנוסף היה גווני חום. בחרתי תמונות מט"ו בשבט והרעיון של האתגר - חום, בשילוב עם ירוק התאים לי לתמונות ט"ו בשבט. הרעיון התחיל להתפתח. יצרתי את האדמה ממסקינג טייפ צבעוני - חום על חום. את הצמרת יצרתי מעיגולים ב-3 גדלים שונים, מלוכלכים בדיו בקצוות והגזע חתוך ביד...

Last week I came back from the US. I was on a business trip, on a customer's site (customer of the company I work for - ClickSoftware). I was in Los Angeles, Califorina area and I visited many craft stores :-) I missed my girls Yaara & Mor a lot and I kept thinking about them and what we can do together when I'm back. So I bought them Princess Foam Stickers by Darice and today we sat and created these... The first is mine:

שבוע שעבר חזרתי מארה"ב. הייתי שם במסגרת עבודה - באתר של לקוח, לקוח של החברה שבה אני עובדת - Clicksoftware. הייתי באיזור של לוס אנג'לס, קליפורניה ומן הסתתם יצא לי לבקר בהמון חנויות יצירה. הגעגועים לבנות שלי, יערה ומור, הציפו אותי כל הזמן וגם בביקוריי בחנויות היצירה המשכתי לחשוב מה אוכל לעשות איתן כשאחזור. קניתי מדבקות סול בצורות של נסיכות ואביזרים והיום ישבנו ליצור ולשחק במדבקות... "בניתי" נסיכה והדבקתי לכרטיס ברכה:
