I got a phone call yesterday, asking me to create this card for someone at work, who's leaving after 20 (!!!!) years...
I saw this card and loved it - and created my version of it...
I used my counterfeit kit - mostly for the patterned papers - I thought that the colorful butterflies might be a good sign for new beginnings, saying goodbyes and such...
Clean as simple - my favorite style...
I appreciate your comments :-)

Ready to go... New layout

I created the background paper a while ago with acrylic paints and glimmer mists and from time to time I tried to see if I can use it, and gave it another rest...
This time - I used it to create my layout, that is inspired by challenge #6 (sketch challenge) @ Yotzot.
I used a picture I took almost 5 years ago... Amazing how the years go by...
Another challenge is the 2nd challenge of the counterfeit kit: Photo Focus... I took the picture of the layout on the same corner of the couch where Mor was sitting when I took the original photo. I think it's cute... Anyway - I added more pictures, for better view. Needless to say - I was using the papers from my counterfeit kit...

Few stories around this layout:
1. As you know I joined the Counterfeit Kit Challenge. I knew that the inspiration layout is about to get published and I waited for it... While waiting - I saw a clue for the upcoming kit, and I found October kit (current kit) of the same company and started to build the kit... I created the layout and then realized the inspiration kit is September's kit.... I put this layout aside and started to collect another kit. I'm sure I'll use this one sooner or later.
2. At Practical Scrappers there's a challenge to use paper clip in a creative way... I twisted my paper clip into car shape, to match the subject of the layout. Though it's not very precise I like it :-)
3. The story behind the pictures: This is my second leasing car at the company I work for... I created this layout on the same day I let go the old car and got this one... I enjoy document the little things in life, the everyday, even though it's not meaningful...

Another card, using the papers from my counterfeit kit.
This card was inspired by the card sketch of Unity's (August 2010 kit).
I added a stamp I created in Hebrew, says: with love...
What do you think?

My first pregnancy layout

Here's another layouts I created with the papers for my first counterfeit kit.
I found these nostalgic pictures, that were taken 8 1/2 years ago, when I was pregnant with Yaara.
We took each others pictures with a view to the sea of Galilee. Funny to remember how we looked like...
Many of the layouts I did recently (until the long break I had) had ink & acrylic paints stains - this time I took the chicken wire mask and sprayed it with glimmer mist.
I took pieces of papers, distressed them and layered them below the pictures.
I added this trim of lace in order to connect the 2 pictures.
I stamped the journaling lines and used brackets rub-on on one side.
I cut the title with my Silhouette - font 'Rochi Fun'.
I added strips of washi tape - and that's it...

Another card for Unity's challenge (for the WCMD event). This challenge was all about textures. Use Unity's stamps and add at least 2 different textures to your card.
So I did... First I created this scraps background paper - strips of papers (from my counterfeit kit). The textures I chose was the magic mesh and the bakers twine.
I stamped the little heart on a scrap of the blue paper and did a minor paper piecing...
Hope you like it :-)

Passover 2011 layout

Hmmm....
After I chose the papers to my first counterfeit kit I created this layout, thinking about the 5th challenge of the new Israeli blog - 'Yotzot'. Where do you get your inspiration from...? I think I get inspired mostly from my everyday life... Sometimes I find myself taking pictures and thinking of the layout / papers / concept of using these pictures to document our life in a way we would love to remember...
Anyway - this picture was taken on Passover eve 2011. The "famous song" Ma Nishtana? (what has changed) - I have a lot of things to say about it... It brings up many memories, not so good... Since I was the youngest child (and the youngest has to sing it - ask the questions) - I remember being stressed weeks before, trying to think how can I avoid it, trying to convince my brother to sing a long with me... Always thought I don't want to "make this show".
Now, as a mother, with 2 girls that LOVE to perform (every Friday eve they sing and dance to my parents) - I don't think they suffer from it, but I try to understand each and every time if they do it because they "must" or because they want to...
About the layout: I messed-up the title a little, didn't calculate the required space... oops
I added the butterflies - matching the same position on the papers - as a symbol for freedom (one of Passover's names).
I sewed (using my Sew Easy) the papers to each other - to add texture and interest to the page...
I appreciate your comments!

Perhaps it was the longest break I've ever took from crafting / creating in the last few years...
I decided to join the Counterfeit Kit Challenge. It's harder than I thought. Maybe it will be easier if I do it more.
Anyway - This is the kit I have put together, I tried to get inspired by the designs / colors / patterns of the inspiration kit and make them match somehow in order for me to use it.
Now... Today is World Card Making Day (October 6th) and I waited for the challenges... Since unfortunately I don't live in the "right timezone" (somewhere in the US) - I will have to go to sleep soon, but I was able to join one of Unity's challenges: Shaped card (no simple rectangle, square, circle).
Here's my flower shape card:
