New layout: Out of the {bubble}

I'm excited to share this layout.
First - I LOVE this picture... Artistic in a way :-)
Second - I love the combination of colors (again, with my counterfeit kit of April - I hope you're not bored of me using the same papers all over again)...
Third - the embellishments are all stickers, including the title in 2 different fonts...

The story of the picture: We went to the swimming pool (summer of 2010) - for swimming class: Yaara, as a student, and my mother, as the teacher (this is what she does for her living)... I can't remember why Mor didn't join the class that day but we waited together and she played... While she was playing, I played with my camera :-)

Sketch was inspired by April 1st sketch @ Stuck Sketches.

New layout: Social Justice...

Back in summer 2011 there was a large social protest in Israel. The cost of living became higher and higher and the middle-class / working-class protested in order to try to make life easier... Many Israelis were living in tents in the center of the cities as part of the protest...
Yaara & Mor, during the summer vacation, asked me to build them a tent in the living room... They were very happy to feel a part of the protest (even though the air-condition worked non-stop, and we were in our home and not in the street, etc...) :-)

The layout was inspired by April sketchbook challenge, using my April counterfeit kit (same elements: colorful brads, splatter of inks, different types of fonts...

New layout: green girl

I created this layout few weeks ago. Splash of color on the solid background paper, acrylic paint as border of the pictures, squares cut as triangles to create a chevron pattern... Sewed on patterned paper... Added embellishments - brads with matching colors (to my imagination theme: blue for the sky, green for the grass and brown for the ground?)....
Anyway - I love this pictures, taken ~7 years ago :-)

New layout: Sweet baby - דף מעוצב חדש: תינוקת מתוקה

The Hebrew message will be followed by an English one.

כשיצרתי את הדפים (למשל זה, זה וזה - ויש עוד) מהקיטים של Bella Blvd, נפל לי האסימון שיכול להיות נחמד לא לחשוב על שילובי צבעים בדפים - לקחת קיט מוכן, כשהכל תואם ואפשר מיד להתחיל "לשחק"...

הגיוני, לא? האמת שמאד, אבל כנראה חלק מהכיף הוא לאתגר את עצמי בלבחור, להתעסק עם המגוון, אולי למצוא שילובים פחות מתבקשים.

הרבה פעמים השתמשתי בדפים מאותה חבילה, אבל לא הרבה פעמים השתמשתי בקיט מוכן.

בכל מקרה - הפעם לקחתי שאריות דפים מאחת הסדנאות שלקחתי ב-PACS בצרפת (נובמבר 2010) והרכבתי מהם את הדף הרענן הזה...

מה דעתכן?

When I created the layouts (like this, this and this - and more) using Bella's kits I found it fun, not having to think about the right combinations of papers - it is already given that the kit matches... 

Makes a lot of sense but I always challenged myself... 

A lot of times I used papers from the same stack, but not "kit".

Anyway - this time I took scraps I had from one of the classes I took in PACS France (November 2010) and tried to make the best out of it.

New layout: Flower - דף מעוצב חדש: פרח

When I was looking for pictures that may inspire with to create a layout for sketch #109 @ Twisted Sketches (the twist was flower)- I knew this picture is a "must-scrapbook-with".... (I hope my last sentence make sense...). I wanted to use scraps, so I started to search in my scraps basket... and didn't find anything, so I started to search in the scraps I had from the workshops at France last year - and there I found it! Doodlebug scraps that fit perfectly! I think that this picture would look great with any paper I might have chose...

כשחיפשתי תמונות שעשויות להתאים לי לדף לפי סקיצה 109 של Twisted Sketches (הטוויסט היה פרח) - ראיתי את התמונה הזאת שצעקה עלי: תבחרי בי! לאור הכוונה שלי להשתמש בשאריות בתקופה הקרובה (בתקווה שמתישהו הן יפחתו) - חיפשתי בסל השאריות שלי.... והמשכתי לחפש והמשכתי לחפש.... וכשהתייאשתי מהחיפושים - הבאתי עוד שאריות :-) הפעם שאריות מהסדנאות בצרפת, בנובמבר האחרון... ואז מצאתי את הדפים האלה שגם הם, כמו התמונה, צעקו עלי: אנחנו מתאימים לך! בקיצור - זה לא אני בחרתי ;-) התמונה והדפים ממש זינקו עלי...

בכל אופן, אני חושבת שהתמונה הזאת היתה נראית יפה עם כל דף שהייתי בוחרת... וגם בלי דפים :-)

New project: 3D Frame "Bloom" - פרוייקט חדש: מסגרת תלת מימדית "פריחה"

I created this frame (measures 5.5 inches) after I found this tutorial. I decided to combine my wish to create the frame with participating in scrap.co.il's 7th challenge (include paper with flowers and handmade flowers). In the challenge's details there's a link to flower tutorials - when I saw the quilling flower I decided to use this technique. It's been about 7 years since I last did it and it was an opportunity to teach my girls. They enjoyed it and created some flowers & butterflies. I think it's cute, still don't know what to do with it though...

יצרתי את המסגרת הזאת (גודלה 14 ס"מ) אחרי שראיתי את ההדרכה הזאת. החלטתי לשלב בין הרצון ליצור את המסגרת התלת מימדית עם השתתפות באתגר השביעי של אתר סקראפ (לשלב בפרוייקט דף פרחוני עם פרח(ים) בעבודת יד). באתגר היה לינק להדרכות של פרחים שונים - וכשראיתי את פרח הקווילינג החלטתי שאעבוד עם הטכניקה הזאת. עברו בערך 7 שנים מאז שעשיתי את זה בפעם האחרונה וחשבתי שזו הזדמנות נהדרת ללמד את יערה ומור. הן נהנו מאד ויצרו פרחים ופרפרים. יצא חמוד בעיני, וכמובן שעדיין אין לי שום רעיון מה לעשות עם זה :-)

New layout: Yaara'a book store (2nd layout) - דף מעוצב חדש: חנות הספרים של יערה (הדף השני)

This is the second layout for Yaara's book store double - The first is here. I tried to use the same materials, to make a connection between the 2 pages. I like doubles - it's a great solution for multiple photos! The only conflict I had was regarding the center flower - without the flower I felt something is missing, but it's the only embellishment that is only on one page and not both. Anyway - I like it this way.

In the pictures we can see Mor, who is the sweetest customer ever, pays Yaara for the book she buys, Yaara is writing the receipt and handing the book... They are so sweet!

הנה הדף השני עבור הכפולה של חנות הספרים של יערה - את הדף הראשון אפשר לראות כאן. ניסיתי להשתמש באותם אלמנטים עיצוביים, על מנת ליצור קשר בין הדפים. אני אוהבת כפולות וחושבת שזה פתרון נהדר כשיש הרבה תמונות של אותה סיטואציה. היה לי קונפליקט אחד בעיצוב הדף הזה - הפרח הגדול במרכז. בלעדיו הרגשתי שמשהו עוד חסר ומצד שני - זה האלמנט היחיד שלא מופיע בדף הראשון. בכל אופן - אני שמחה שהוספתי! אני אוהבת את זה ככה.

בתמונות אפשר לראות את מור, הלקוחה הכי מתוקה בעולם, משלמת ליערה על הספר ש"קנתה", יערה מכינה פתק החלפה או קבלה ומוסרת את הספר. אני כל כך נהנית לראות אותן משחקות ככה יחד, מפעילות את הדמיון ונהנות!

New layout: Yaara'a book store - דף מעוצב חדש: חנות הספרים של יערה

This layout was inspired from sketch #92 @ twisted sketches. The twist was brads. This layout will be a part of double layout about Yaara's book store. Sometimes she takes few books, wrapping paper, cashier, cell phone, etc. and pretends she owns a book store. She asks us to be her customers and buy books (I usually ask her to recommend on a book for my daughter and after I "buy" it from her - she gets it as a present...). I will create the other half of this double someday....

Anyway, since this layout is about a book store, I took book pages, cut strips and adhered it to the rectangle. I also used felt, to add texture and interest to the page. After piercing (using Sew Easy tool) both sides I thought I might have pierced (and stitched) just one side - the right one.... What do you think? Do you like both sides stitched or think it could have looked better with just one side?

הדף הזה מבוסס על סקיצה #92 באתר twisted sketches. האתגר הפעם היה סיכות מתפצלות. הדף הזה הוא בעצם חלקק אחד מ"כפולה" עם תמונות של "חנות הספרים של יערה". לפעמים היא מורידה כמה ספרים מהמדפים, נייר עטיפה, קופה רושמת, טלפון סלולרי ועוד ומעמידה פנים שהיא בעלת חנות ספרים... היא מבקשת מאיתנו להיות הלקוחות ולקנות ספרים (בדרך כלל אני מבקשת ממנה המלצה לספר עבור הבת שלי ואחרי שאני "קונה" ממנה - היא מקבלת אותו כמתנה...). כשאצור את החצי השני בכפולה - אעדכן כמובן.

בכל אופן, מכיוון שהתמונות מראות את חנות הספרים - השתמשתי בדפי ספר, חתכתי מהם רצועות והדבקתי למלבן. השתמשתי גם בלבד בשביל להוסיף טקסטורה ועניין לדף. אחרי שחוררתי (בעזרת המכשיר Sew Easy) את שני צידי הדף, חבשתי שאולי היה עדיף שהייתי מחוררת רק צד אחד - את הימני. מה אתם חושבים? יותר יפה ששני הצדדים מחוררים ותפורים או אולי יכול היה להיות יותר יפה כשרק הצד הימני תפור?

New mini album: Crazy night - מיני אלבום חדש: לילה מטורף

Scrap.co.il's challenge #3 was to use only one paper. Any style, technique, tool - but only 1 paper. I created a mini album with many pictures, covering most of the back side of the paper. The pictures were taken on December, during "Festigal".

באתר סקראפ אתגר מספר שלוש היה להכין יצירה תוך שימוש בדף אחד בלבד. איזה סגנון וטכניקה שבוחרים, אפשר להוסיף קישוטים למיניהם - אבל להשתמש בסה"כ בדף אחד. יצרתי מיני אלבום, בן 2 דפים, עם מקום להמון תמונות (ואם לא היתה המגבלה של "דף אחד" - הייתי מוסיפה עוד תגים והחתמות). התמונות, שצולמו בפסטיגל האחרון (לילה מטורף) מכסות את רוב הצד האחורי של הדף.

This is the first layout I designed as part of the Twisted Sketches DT - sketch #88. The twist was soft. I chose pictures of my SIL's family, while they were in Alaska. They pet these soft little doggies...
