New cards: Light

This week's challenge @Scrappy Hands is light.
It's the first time I use this die, by Memory Box & Simon Says Stamp
The 4th try was successful, after I thought of rotating the die clockwise...
Anyway - I wanted to do something original. At first I thought of candles (Hanukkah, birthday), then I thought of the sun, and finally - the stars :)

New layout: She's got the look

2nd layout - for balance I had to use Yaara's picture :-)
We call her 'the stylist' and she loves it!
In a family celebration she took my sunglasses and put it on her glasses - double is better :-P

In the word 'Look' I used 'g' (stickers by #BellaBlvd) instead of 2 o's - and it looks like glasses - cute effect, ah? :-)

I created this card a while ago, but this is a good opportunity to show it...
I used Karen Burniston's die - to create this accordion looking card, isn't it cool??

Hi,

Another card for Scrappy Hands' challenge (special papers: music notes / book / sewing patterns etc):
This time I cross stitched a heart on the paper.

New card: Mazal Tov... and some thoughts...

Lately I started to think..
On one hand - I want to do more, I want to show you more...
On the other hand - I'm not sure that "a card per post" is what I want. I think I want to space out the posts, and to bring more in each post.
Maybe tutorials, maybe few cards using same technique / sketch / whatever...

Appreciate your feedback..

New 3D card: Mazal Tov

This card may look simple, but! :-)
But it's not...
When you open it, you see a pop up (inspired by Karen Burniston pop-up dies) of cupcakes and another chain of flags...
I love this colorful card. It took a while to create it and I'm happy!

New Card: Congratulations

The card was inspired by sketch #329 @ Mojo Monday (MOJO329)
I founds an old DCWV stack (small.. I usually use the 12X12, and I think this one is 6X6)
I decided to create a "window" in the card, and the greeting will pop out from there...
I usually use black ink and I thought that I shouldn't use it here, so I chose distress ink, but I'm not sure I like the result.

Amazing how simple this card is!
few stripes of washi & fabric tapes, stamped circle, greeting & a flower...
When I saw Unscripted Sketch #241, I was thinking how should I create the stripes... papers or another way...
After I chose the tapes to use, I thought it might be a card for a man... But while I was thinking what should be put on the stripes - I had an inspiration ;-) wedding card!

New card: My little monster

Another card, cute this time LOL
I just love this little monster (and the other from the stamp set)
As usual - paper piecing - it was hard to cut the little monster's hands, but the result is sooo cute!

Another new card

Another card - soon the papers are completed, including all small pieces.
This card: background paper, with inked edges; doily for the lace effect; circle from 2 papers, hiding the join with a ribbon; double butterfly with pearls and a sentiment: Mazal Tov...
The circle & the sentiment are adhered with 3D foam.

Another fun & easy to make card, which qualifies for 2 challenges:

New card: Oh boy + Tutorial

I started with 8 X 6 card
and scored at 3¼ & 4¼ :

I put a die and centered it on my 4¼ score mark. I used a sticky note to keep it in place:

I ran it through my Cuttlebug twice: one from each direction, until the score mark.
The best way to do it is to put the upper plate (C in my example) only on the part that needs to be cut:

And now on the other side:

When done - the shape should look like this (cut from 2 sides, with a strip not cut): 

I cut the same shape twice, and another 2 shapes - a little smaller:

Adhered to my card:

And on the other side:

The base is ready.
Now decorate...

2 years ago Yaara & Mor "meditate" on the kitchen countertop, waiting for me to "catch them"... Holding themselves from laughing... I took the camera, like I always do - and took some pictures of my princesses...

There's no place like home card

Another card for Unity's challenge (for the WCMD event). This challenge was all about textures. Use Unity's stamps and add at least 2 different textures to your card.

So I did... First I created this scraps background paper - strips of papers (from my counterfeit kit). The textures I chose was the magic mesh and the bakers twine.

I stamped the little heart on a scrap of the blue paper and did a minor paper piecing...
