New layout: 3 Wise Girls - דף מעוצב חדש: 3 ילדות חכמות

This layout was inspired by sketch #94 @ Twisted Sketches. The extra challenge was glitter. I took a picture of my daughters with their cousin, imitating the 3 wise monkeys. There were a few arguments of who will be each of them, but at the end they agreed and I took the picture... I knew I wanted to add monkeys die cuts to make the connection between the picture, the title (3 wise girls) and the origin of the picture... Since they all like glitter and sparkle things - the monkeys were covered with stickles.

הדף עוצב עבור סקיצה #94 באתר Twisted Sketches. האתגר הנוסף היה נצנצים. התמונה של יערה ומור, הבנות המתוקות, היפות והחכמות שלי :-), עם יובלי, בת הדוד שלהן - כשהן מחקות את 3 הקופים החכמים. הבנות קצת התווכחו עד שהגיעו להחלטה מי עושה מה וכשהגיעו להחלטה צילמתי. ידעתי שיהיו חיתוכי קופים בדף הזה, על מנת ליצור את הקשר בין התמונה, הרמז של הכותרת והמקור של התמונה... בגלל שהבנות שלי מתות על נצנצים - זה רק התבקש לכסות את הקופיפים בסטיקלס.

Sewing: Fabric Box, Purim basket - קופסת בד תפורה, משלוח מנות

I had to make a Purim basket for Mor's kindergarten & Yaara's school. I wanted it to be special and useful, so I decided to try and sew a fabric box. I used Keren's tutorial and used a pillowcase to sew both baskets... I hope Yaara & Mor will like it :-)

הייתי צריכה להכין משלוחי מנות ליערה ומור, לבית הספר ולגן. רציתי שזה יהיה מיוחד ושימושי (אין לי גנים פולנים!). נעזרתי בהדרכה של קרן פרפרים והשתמשתי בציפית של כרית עבור שתי הקופסאות. אני מאד מקווה שיערה ומור יאהבו :-)

New layout: Yaara'a book store (2nd layout) - דף מעוצב חדש: חנות הספרים של יערה (הדף השני)

This is the second layout for Yaara's book store double - The first is here. I tried to use the same materials, to make a connection between the 2 pages. I like doubles - it's a great solution for multiple photos! The only conflict I had was regarding the center flower - without the flower I felt something is missing, but it's the only embellishment that is only on one page and not both. Anyway - I like it this way.

In the pictures we can see Mor, who is the sweetest customer ever, pays Yaara for the book she buys, Yaara is writing the receipt and handing the book... They are so sweet!

הנה הדף השני עבור הכפולה של חנות הספרים של יערה - את הדף הראשון אפשר לראות כאן. ניסיתי להשתמש באותם אלמנטים עיצוביים, על מנת ליצור קשר בין הדפים. אני אוהבת כפולות וחושבת שזה פתרון נהדר כשיש הרבה תמונות של אותה סיטואציה. היה לי קונפליקט אחד בעיצוב הדף הזה - הפרח הגדול במרכז. בלעדיו הרגשתי שמשהו עוד חסר ומצד שני - זה האלמנט היחיד שלא מופיע בדף הראשון. בכל אופן - אני שמחה שהוספתי! אני אוהבת את זה ככה.

בתמונות אפשר לראות את מור, הלקוחה הכי מתוקה בעולם, משלמת ליערה על הספר ש"קנתה", יערה מכינה פתק החלפה או קבלה ומוסרת את הספר. אני כל כך נהנית לראות אותן משחקות ככה יחד, מפעילות את הדמיון ונהנות!

New layout: Yaara'a book store - דף מעוצב חדש: חנות הספרים של יערה

This layout was inspired from sketch #92 @ twisted sketches. The twist was brads. This layout will be a part of double layout about Yaara's book store. Sometimes she takes few books, wrapping paper, cashier, cell phone, etc. and pretends she owns a book store. She asks us to be her customers and buy books (I usually ask her to recommend on a book for my daughter and after I "buy" it from her - she gets it as a present...). I will create the other half of this double someday....

Anyway, since this layout is about a book store, I took book pages, cut strips and adhered it to the rectangle. I also used felt, to add texture and interest to the page. After piercing (using Sew Easy tool) both sides I thought I might have pierced (and stitched) just one side - the right one.... What do you think? Do you like both sides stitched or think it could have looked better with just one side?

הדף הזה מבוסס על סקיצה #92 באתר twisted sketches. האתגר הפעם היה סיכות מתפצלות. הדף הזה הוא בעצם חלקק אחד מ"כפולה" עם תמונות של "חנות הספרים של יערה". לפעמים היא מורידה כמה ספרים מהמדפים, נייר עטיפה, קופה רושמת, טלפון סלולרי ועוד ומעמידה פנים שהיא בעלת חנות ספרים... היא מבקשת מאיתנו להיות הלקוחות ולקנות ספרים (בדרך כלל אני מבקשת ממנה המלצה לספר עבור הבת שלי ואחרי שאני "קונה" ממנה - היא מקבלת אותו כמתנה...). כשאצור את החצי השני בכפולה - אעדכן כמובן.

בכל אופן, מכיוון שהתמונות מראות את חנות הספרים - השתמשתי בדפי ספר, חתכתי מהם רצועות והדבקתי למלבן. השתמשתי גם בלבד בשביל להוסיף טקסטורה ועניין לדף. אחרי שחוררתי (בעזרת המכשיר Sew Easy) את שני צידי הדף, חבשתי שאולי היה עדיף שהייתי מחוררת רק צד אחד - את הימני. מה אתם חושבים? יותר יפה ששני הצדדים מחוררים ותפורים או אולי יכול היה להיות יותר יפה כשרק הצד הימני תפור?

New layout: Movie - דף מעוצב חדש: חיים בסרט

The layout was inspired by sketch #58 @ Tuesday Trio. The challenge was stamps & letters, Hebrew preferred. I always try to scrapbook with Hebrew letters - I want my daughters (and someday my grandchildren... LOL) to be able to read and understand... Anyway, the picture was taken in a movie theater, few minutes before the movie began. We saw a 3D movie, and Mor fell asleep during the movie.

הדף מבוסס על סקיצה #58 בבלוג "שלוש בשלישי". האתגר היה חותמות ואותיות, רצוי בעברית. מכיוון שאני גם ככה משתדלת לכתוב כותרות בעברית - היה לי די פשוט מהבחינה הזאת.

את התמונה צילמתי באולם הקולנוע, הלכנו כולנו לראות סרט בתלת מימד "מסביב לעולם ב-50 שנה". מורקי הקטנה נרדמה אבל כל השאר נהנו :-)
