Recipe swap: Tu Bishvat (part 1) - החלפת מתכונים: ט"ו בשבט (חלק 1)

I participated in another recipes swap, this time the main focus was on dried fruits that is being eaten on Tu Bishvat - New year of the trees...

השתתפתי בהחלפת מתכונים לכבוד ט"ו בשבט. המתכונים אמורים היו להתבסס על פירות יבשים למיניהם, בהתאם להעדפות של השותפה להחלפה...

The first page I created is for "Chicken on rice & dried fruits". I used washi tape and tried to make the nature pops.... The blue strip is the sky, the yellow - sun, the greens - trees & grass and the browns - the land & ground... The butterflies were also punches out from a paper covered with red washi tape. I left a mat for a picture of the chicken that will be made by this recipe - kind of an interactive page...

בדף הראשון שיצרתי השתמשתי בסרטי-נייר צבעוניים וניסיתי ליצור בעזרתם רקע של טבע. הפס הכחול מדמה את השמיים, הצהוב - את השמש, הירוקים למיניהם - עצים, דשא וכו' והחומים - את האדמה... גם הפרפרים קורצו מדף שעליו הדבקתי סרטי נייר אדומים. אני מקווה ששותפתי להחלפה (היי ציקוש :-)) תשתף פעולה ותוסיף תמונה של האורז שהכינה (אם היא תנסה את המתכון)...

This is the back (and the recipe) on the page. Again, tried to combine nature. I used bamboo pattered paper and punched 2 more butterflies to create a connection between the 2 sides of the page.

בצד האחורי כתבתי את המתכון עצמו וגם כאן ניסיתי לשלב משהו טבעי. השתמשתי בדף עם הדפס של במבוק והוספתי 2 פרפרים, כמו בצד הקדמי, כדי ליצור איזה שהוא קשר בין שני צידי הדף:

Announcement & a new layout: Train -חדשות ודף מעוצב חדש: רכבת

This layout was inspired by DT call sketch @ Twisted Sketches, the twist was: map. When I saw the twist I knew that I'm going to use the ephemera I brought back from France: train tickets & map. Since the map is colorful I decided to make the layout colorful as well.

ההשראה לדף הגיעה מקריאה לצוות עיצוב של אחד מבלוגי הסקיצות שאני אוהבת... כל שבוע עולה סקיצה וטוויסט. הטוויסט הפעם היה מפה, לא משנה אם כחלק מהעיצוב / מהכותרת / קישוטים וכו'. היה לי די ברור שאשתמש בקשקושים שאספתי איתי בנסיעה לכנס הסקראפ בפאריז, בנובמבר האחרון: מפת התחנות וכרטיסי הרכבת.

דרך אגב, החל מעכשיו אני חלק פעיל מצוות העיצוב של Twisted Sketches, אפשר לקרוא על כך כאן...

New card: vintage style - כרטיס חדש בסגנון וינטאג'

This week @ Tuesday Trio I had a huge challenge - create a vintage card according to the sketch. Since I really don't like vintage (and I "don't know" vintage) - I did my best, tried to combine real vintage items to create this card.

Few years ago I bought on eBay ephemera goodie bag - many genuine vintage bingo cards & papers, paper game-money, and other old stuff. I almost never used this bag, but this time I thought it's a good idea.

השבוע היה לי אתגר ענק עם הסקיצה של "שלוש בשלישי" - הייתי צריכה להכין כרטיס בסגנון וינטאג'. אני גרועה בזה, לא מתחסרת ולא ממש אוהבת - עשיתי מה שיכולתי... אתגר זה אתגר...

לפני כמה שנים קניתי ב-eBay שקית מלאה "כולטוב": כרטיסי בינגו אמיתיים וישנים, כסף למשחקים עשוי מניר ושאר דברים ישנים שנוטים להתפורר... בדיעבד די מוזר שקניתי דבר כזה, אבל מילא, לא בוכים על חלב שנשפך (וכסף שזרם למקומות לא נכונים :-)). בכל אופן - השתמשתי בכמה דברים עבור הכרטיס הזה:

I used one of unity stamps, inked it and stamped. The result was very "anti-vintage", so I stamped again and again, until I got older / faded effect.

אחרי שהחתמתי באחת החותמות של Unity, קיבלתי תוצאה רחוקה מאד מאד מוינטאג' - ההחתמה היתה כל כך חזקה ו"חדשה" ולא נראתה מתאימה - אז החתמתי שוב ושוב (בלי להוסיף דיו כמובן) עד שקיבלתי את המראה הרצוי / דהוי משהו...

Library bag - תיק ספר

I sewed a library bag for Mor today. Each week they take a book from the kindergarten's library and return the book they previously took. Every year there's a parents' meeting, in which we make a bag for the kids. This year the kindergarten's teacher didn't initiate such a meeting (for this purpose). Anyway, after few weeks that Mor took an ugly big bag for the book, I decided that she deserves better! I used this tutorial and sewed this bag. I'm very proud of the result!

תפרתי למור המתוקה שלי תיק-ספר. השנה, בניגוד לשנים קודמות, לא היה ארוע "הכנת תיק ספר" בו כל ההורים יושבים להכין תיקים לילדים ויצא שמור הלכה לגן עם תיק גדול ומכוער, ובו לקחה את הספר הביתה ובחזרה לגן. החלטתי שמגיע לה יותר מזה ותפרתי לה תיק - אני מאד גאה בו! היה קצת קשה, אבל בהחלט משתלם!

New layout: Sick Leave - דף מעוצב חדש: חופשת מחלה

As a Guest Designer for Stamp by Step I created another layout - again with Fancy Pants Celebrate Collection . I chose picture of Mor - she didn't feel well and after the doctor appointment we went to the mall. The biggest attraction at the mall is these moving vehicles - they LOVE these things! Besides the fact that on sick leave one of the girls doesn't feel well - it's a chance for just 2 of us to hang out together - some kind of 1 on 1 quality time...

דף נוסף שעיצבתי במסגרת תפקידי כמעצבת אורחת בחנות Stamp by Step. מור לא הרגישה טוב ואחרי התור אצל הרופאה הלכנו לקניון. יערה ומור אוהבות ללכת לקניון בעיקר בשביל המתקנים הזזים בשנקל. כל פעם מדהים אותי מחדש כמה שזה אטרקטיבי בעיניהן! למעט העובדה שבחופשת מחלה ככל הנראה אחת מהן לא מרגישה טוב - זה סוג של הזדמנות לבלות זמן איכות של 1 על 1 ולהיות ביחד...
